Medical First: 4 Hospitals, 8 Kidneys, 16 Surgeries

Four hospitals have completed the final leg of a three-week-long cross-country medical relay. In the first-of-its-kind series of surgeries, doctors exchanged not batons, but kidneys, involving 16 separate procedures.
